As previously mentioned: in-progress doll of Wheatley from Blue Sky, with Chell, of course. Currently he’s the head of a Milo Thatch doll poorly attached to the body of a Fashionista Ken or something (it’s jointed, is the point) and a sweater I bought on eBay…I need to find him some jeans, obviously, and I need to repaint his eyes and get/make some glasses. Also he has blue Converse that he’s not wearing here because they showed up after I packed up all my dolls. :(
hello, internet! here’s the deal: I live in a dreary little town with few opportunities and an overwhelming cultural air of apathy, and am currently climbing out of years of built-up clinical depression. my goal this summer is to save a great deal of money and finally move out on my own. (terrifying, amirite?) one of the things I am doing to earn this money is record music. (I have an album coming out at some point, featuring songs about various fandoms, subway faeries, and the joys of drinking alone, among other things, which I need a little more funds to be able to record and distribute. more on that later.) (another thing I am doing is running an eBay shop.) I play a few open mics in town and have a block party gig next month, which is pretty exciting, but at the moment I really need financial support, especially until my tax refund gets here. (for one thing, my eBay payments don’t clear for over two weeks after they’re paid. I made a bunch of money on eBay this week and won’t be able to access it until the end of the month.)
so: I could use a little money in my pocket, both right now and over the course of the summer. I don’t like asking for money straight up, though, which is why I prefer to create goods someone might want to purchase. I have written songs about Doctor Who, Dollhouse, Being Human, and Echo Bazaar, an entire album of traditional ballads about vampires, and have covered everything from Amanda Palmer to Bob Dylan to Anastasia to John Donne. I’m also offering myself up for performances — parties, weddings, geeky festivities, you name it — to anyone in the Pittsburgh region willing to pay and negotiate re. transportation. and, hey, I won’t rule out commissions! got a song you want to exist but you’re not a songwriter or musician? need a closing song for your student film? we can talk about it!
(I also make graphics! if you need a website header or a promotional poster or something of the like, I’m here. but I digress.)
anyway. help a geek girl out?
love and gratitude,
Jo
Go give her stuff a listen, kids. You won’t be disappointed.

oh noooo
It’s white, even, instead of cream/ivory like most of the other ones, which looks bad on me, and I missed the Buffy and Dr. Horrible ones, and this is really precious and I haven’t bought a shirt in…a little while…?

Reminds me of a much creepier version of Machinarium.
